i have this growth on about 5 to 10 of my satsumas. ive run a quick seach and looked at a few other websites, but cant find anything that remotely resembles it. seems like its only on one side of the tree, and the rest of the tree is starting to color change like normal. are these edible or should i pull them off immediately???

thanks

red

After taking a closer look, I would say the symptoms resemble those of a sweet orange scab, quite a lot. You can find more details on this page.

It does not look like scab to me, and as round as the areas are, I doubt that it is a pathological problem. I'd say something physical/chemical.

I get that once in a while on my satsumas, one or two fruit on a tree will have it. It's hard & not sure what causes it, but it doesn't hurt the fruit.
