Here are the bannas, my Manila Mango, my Littlecado and the Anna Apple.

I have had the Littlecado for over 5 years and no fruit yet. It flowered every year but 2007 after we got down to 24 degrees for 3 nights in a row. It was covered with a sheet and suffered minimal damage.

All of the fruit fell off this year on the mango but I have gotten fruit on it in past years. It has been in a heated makeshift greenhouse for the past two winters and that is why it is still alive today. I was able to get it to fruit without using heat and only draping a blanket over it on the coldest nights.

I thought I would throw in the Apple that has its second crop of fruit and flowers on it to contrast the tropicals.

Yes they are both dwarf varieties, however the climate here will dwarf any mango tree.

Nice Anna apple.. I've had a tree growing for 4 years in Santa Paula.. about 40 miles of you, and it is still tiny, as if I had just planted it. I'd have to call it a mini-dwarf!

You must be in a micro climate, like La Conchita? I don't think I've seen mango anywhere in SB but in la Conchita.
