Hidey-ho!
I live in Kure Beach, NC, just south of Wilmington, where this years Expo is being held on Saturday. Yes, I will be there!
Currently, I have 5 citrus (meyers lemon, Key lime, limequat, kumquat, clementine) in pots and a few fruits(pomegranate, persimmon 'Fuji', tangerine, fig)in the ground.
Looking to learn and share!
Barb

Welcome from Pensacola Florida.

Looks like you are off to a good start. I purchased a Fuyu Persimmon today. Good straight trunk about 3 1/2 foot tall for $20.00. If you want to learn all you have to do is ask. Good Luck

thanks!
I harvested my first lemons from my Meyers lemon the other day. They worked quite well in my gin & tonic!
Over the winter, I'm going to plan how to rearrange several of my gardens, so hopefully I'll be able to plant at least a few of my citrus in the ground by next Spring.

With the crazy low temps we've been having, I had to bring my citrus inside about a month before I usually do.
I'm still planning on putting some in the ground come spring. Now if my husband didn't fuss so much every time I try to expand a garden, it would be a lot easier to find room!

If you are an 8/9 maybe there are some Satsumas you could leave in the ground.

I'm hoping to put one I already I have in the ground. My property and greenhouse are small, so I really shouldn't get anymore. Although we all know how "strong" self-control is come Spring! Wink

Yeah, both my wife and me should learn about self-control while around plants... Laughing

Yea, the other plant addictions I have are tropical hibiscus and orchids. I've almost talked myself into a new orchid as a Christmas gift to myself after I swore I wouldn't get another until I learned to properly care for the ones I have now.
I'm pretty sure, come Monday, there will be a new orchid in my house!

They say junkies like to hang out with each other. Sounds like you're one addict I could get used too! Laughing
