Less than 2 days ago I deleted over 10,000 emails from my SPAM folder. It now has almost 500 new ones. It automatically deletes emails every 60 days. I looked there & most come from same people - sometimes 10-15 in a day. 20 came from \"customer Service\" & send the same link (I won't click on any links) and they change their return addy.
Is there a way to block these emails from getting there? When I switched from AOL to SBC Yahoo, some good emails went there & I had to retrieve them & let 'puter know they weren't spam. There is no way I can search through anymore --it would take days to go thru all. I wonder how many people emailed me & went in SPAM folder!!

If you want, i can give you free invitation to use gmail. They have very good spam filtering and search capabilities in your email. It takes some time to get used to the user interface but once you got how your various emails are linked with each other, it becomes very indispensable. You'll get 2 GB of email limit.

Patty,, I have a trick for you to try.. do you have outlook express?? even if you don't use it.. open it up and create a bogus mail account.. Set that as your \"default\" e-mail account.. make sure to unclick the \"Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing\" or it will try to check mail that doesn't exist and give you a error message.. then as you are surfing the web and web sites search your puter for e-mail address the address they find as default goes no where.. It won't take care of ALL the spam.. but it has cut mine down drastically.. I use to get around 60-100 spams a day.. now I get just a couple a week.. any time you enter your e-mail address for a game promotion or something it spams.. if you surf the web with your messenger running it might get snagged by a web site also..
I have been using this sucessfully for a few yrs now.. before was a nightmare to check mail and I'd dump my e-mail accounts and get new ones all the time to get away from the spam.. haven't had to dump an e-mail account because of that for years..

I also have www.NOspam.com adn i use it i also use for my home phone

Tammy, I remember you told me about Gmail couple months ago...I think you were having problems then retreiving your email then. It all sounds so confusing!
At AOL (which I hate), you could block emails from anyone, but they change their email addy everyday so it won't work on them. It's to a point now where I don't just want to block them ...I WANT REVENGE, GRRRRR.

Joe sent me email & let me know thru PM,....I found him at least 50 emails down in my SPAM folder!!!!! If he didn't PM me, I never woulda looked there to see he emailed me!!!! I must get over 250 spams a day.
