View from my patio this morning, very rainy and almost foggy, effect enhanced by shooting into the low fall/winter sun. Looks like this year's crop of tangelos will be smaller mandarin types and plenty of them.



This Minneola tree in mid-life has settled into a pattern of some years many, many smallish mandarin-like fruit and other years moderate amounts of bigger fruit, some paying homage to the pummelo ancestry by being ridiculously big: link

The fruit of citrus derives all of its energy to grow and mature from only the 3 or 4 leaves closest to them. If you desire larger sized fruit, thin to one fruit for every 3 leaves.. Doing so will give you fewer fruit but much larger fruit. - Millet
