I brought in my Key lime a couple of weeks ago during a cold spell. I had intended to move it back out ASAP, but it no time at all it started to flower. Now I don't want to move it back out and risk losing fruit set.
Cheers, Barrie.

Yes Laaz it is. You may recall advising me to top the main stem last spring. It's since gotten fuller and (as seen) flowering for the first time.....roughly 4 years from seed.
Cheers, Barrie. |

Absolutely! Whenever I have an ice cold Corona and key lime, I have to pinch myself to see if I'm dreaming! hahaha.
Cheers and thanks, Barrie. |

Barrie, that is one healthy looking tree. You have done an outstanding job growing that Key Lime. You should go into the nursery business. - Millet |

"You must have a secret you don't want to tell us."
No secrets here. Just good advice from Laaz & Millet. I do keep it outside as long as possible and have even subjected this to a degree or two of freezing temps with no effects. That was as much as I dared to push my luck. It's planted in a combination of starter mix and CHC.
Thanks for the compliments but I couldn't have attained the same level of success without the advise from this board.
Cheers, Barrie. |

If memory serves me, it was about 4' tall or more, and I took about 18" off the top last spring. It was a bit disproportionate and needed balance. Shortly afterward, new shoots began at many points along the stems filling out this Key lime nicely.
Cheers, Barrie. |
