I was thinking about adeas to create a decent temperature for my 4 citrus and I came up with something that seems pretty good.
Some info:
A miniature greenhouse. The lowest air part is the space under the greenhouse because I don't want direct contact between the cold concrete and the containers. The second layer is isolation/insulation. The next is a wooden board or something and on this board there will be a small heatmat that I used to warm my terrarium. I will warm the space underneath the containers. The next layer is the plate where the containers will be on. This could be a grill or a wooden plate with holes in it to transfer the warm air of the layer that is underneath.
The highest layer is some sort of styrofoam plate cut around the containers so that the warm air will go around the containers but can't directly reach the leaves. This way I can maybe stabalize the containers temperature by keeping the space small. Perhaps I could use styrofoam blocks to fill up some empty space between containers so not much warm air goes lost.
I was wondering what you guys think of this idea?
