There were some comments recently on this forum that my web-site didn't always display properly.
Now that the long winter evenings are with us here in England, I have spent some time learning to use a more up-to-date web creation program. So far, I have just re-built the complete index page. I have tried to make it a bit visually clearer, and removed a few totally out of date pages. However, some are still over ten years old and need complete revision. All the links also need checking - a long process which I will start soon.
However, although I have checked this new index page with various browsers and display settings, it would be helpful if anyone else can see any specific problems. Especially on Apple computers as I don't have one.
Please check your browser (particularly Firefox) is not set to increase text size above the font size specified by the website - or 100%. Some browsers seem to upscale perfectly, others do not!

Thanks for looking. If no complaints I will use it in the next few days.

Mike you can download Safari for free, which will help with your concerns about Apple.

I'll check the site out this weekend.

I tried it on Windows 7 with Firefox 8.0 and Internet Explorer 8 and it looks perfect. I tried it on a MacBook Air and an iPad using the latest version of Safari and it looks perfect. I tried it on Ubuntu Linux running an old version of Firefox (3.0.8 ) and the headers on each section overwrote the links above the header. Changing the font and the font size did not fix the problem. This is such an old version of Firefox that I don't see this as a problem.

On my computer (Linux Mandriva 2010.1,kde4, FireFox 3.6.17) It's all OK but a detail that nobody cares of:
"Sign my guest book" overlap the green line.
Laughing I told you... really nobody cares...

With Chromium 11.0.696.68 everything OK.
With Konqueror 4.3.5 everything OK.

Win7, Firefox 8.0: NO overlap of "sign my book" and the green line. Everything looks perfect.

Looks good on Firefox 3.6.24 in Windows. Would be better if the page was about 1 cm narrower to prevent horizontal scrolling.

Everything works perfectly fine on Firefox Nightly build 11.0a1 (2011-11-26) 64bit version on Win7 64bit.
Including "sign my guestbook"! Wink
