ORLANDO, Fla. -- Citrus fruit is ripe this time of year and groves across the state are busy packing up shipments of fruit that are headed all over the country.
Red Hill Groves has been in business at the same location in south Orlando for 25 years. Business is booming this year, they have a lot of fruit and plenty of customers, but there are challenges.
There is a quarantine on Florida citrus which means Red Hill Groves cannot ship fruit to California, Texas, Arizona or Louisiana because of fears of canker in the state of Florida, even though their fruit is healthy.

Red Hill Groves is also online, which provides a significant portion of their business. Even though they still use older technology to pack their fruit, they have had to upgrade when it comes to selling their fruit.
Nearly all of the fruit sold at Red Hill Groves is sold between Thanksgiving and early January, which is when the fruit is ripe.
