how thick must the fruit you are grafting onto limb's be before you graft it?

oh wow, sorry i dont know why i said that Rolling Eyes

let me restate my question:

how thick must the branch of the fruit tree you are grafting onto be in order for support and a high chance of succes?

the best branches for T-bud are the most vigorous water sprout type, 1/4" to pencil sized diameter. Anything bigger, I would only bark graft. If buds are small or the scionwood highly angular, I would bark graft. If the tree is very mature, I would also bark graft.

Young trees with vigorous sprouting branches are ideal to bud to.

You can do t budding and or bark grating as LNG as weather is 50-80 degrees and bark is slipping also
