Hey everyone!

I accidentally stumbled on this forum. I was looking for a citrus forum in my own region but apparently none exist that are specifically about citrusses. Sow I'm hopping on this train right here;).

I had my first citrus 2 years ago, a citrus madurensis (which turns out to be mitis Smile ) but giving it to much water during its first winter killed it completely.

Last spring, I bought a sinensis which is about 1 meter. This one seems to have survived the winter very well.
I give it 11-3-6 (N-P-K) fertilizer (sunplant, a product that I think is only sold here in Belgium) every 2 weeks from february to august.
I hope its a good NPK ratio? I guess thats a hard question because the climat here is a lot different from the rest off the world.

In one month an "oranjerie" half an hour from here has its annual 'citrusdays' and I will probably buy 1 or 2 new citrusses :d.

I'm hoping to see and learn a lot here. Smile

Greetings from Belgium!

Ah! Another member from Belgium! Very Happy Welcome!

Sunplant Citrus is a very good product, I use it too with excellent results. I apply it with every watering during the growing season (3.5ml fertiliser per 1.5 liter water, amount calculated using a formula found on this forum).

If French is not a problem to you, I want to invite you at the French forum "Agrumes Passion" (http://www.agrumes-passion.com/). Just like on this forum, there's a lot of valuable information to be found there, but it is more hobby oriented (and it's a bit closer to home also Laughing ). I'm Flemish myself but Agrumes Passion gives me a reason to exercise my French a little! Wink Laughing
