				| Was in the water by 5:50 and got my first fish at 6:15 am. I found them at exactly 15 ft deep. The Lake has well developed thermocline at this time and that thermocline gets deeper by about 2 ft each week. I've fished this lake for more than 17 years.

				| Something bad happened...

As I pour coffee from the thermos unto my cup, the fish pulled my fishing pole unto the lake and I don't have time to react! The unusual thing about it is that that same fishing pole I fished it out from the Lake 5 years ago and had been with me even on Benny's boat, but then it decided to return. Freebie it came to me, freebie it goes. I hope it will be in good hands with the next Fisher person.

So I switched back to a different setup that would free me up but the fish would have no chance of pulling the trick again on me. It took me a while to rig up another setup from the spare that I carry with me. This setup is for stealth, the fish will bite and won't feel any resistance at all, just like what I did with the first one. There is a slack lineof about 5 ft that is being held by the cup (styrofoam) og nightcrawler.

				| Finally, at 8:30 am, caught the last fish to make my limit. The net is too big, about 3 feet diameter, that is why this 2.5 pounder looked like a guppy. It is a Donaldson Cuttbow trout. Hybridized between Lahontan Cutthroat and Rainbow Trout by Donaldson, more than 30 years ago. It is a super fighting fish that had me frustrated earlier in my fishing years. A 2.5 pounder can snap your 10 pound test line easy by sprinting it and you reacting. I learned how to set the drag very well. Now the only escapees from me are those that can ran away with the fishing pole. Years back, I had a smaller net and when I landed the fish, only half of its body went in and it fell off and snapped my line. It was about a 10 pounder trout.

				| Then the other fishers came, you know, those who think that fish goes to bite between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm like they go to work daily:

				| Ahh, the trip back home begins. This was just a recon mission. I went there to prepare for the Memorial Day camping that I organized for a very big group of campers... I know where the fish are, and I know what they want... I'm ready for camping and fishing... It will look like a zoo next weekend at the lake.

Looks like you had a good time!!

Some nice looking trout..

Maybe the fish just wanted his pole back so he could do some more ppl fishing?? *remembering a joke I saw with fish having poles with beer at the end.. LOL*
