First time I have been able to access this forum in 4 weeks. keep getting: Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in /var/www/html/forumup.org/config/multiforums.functions.inc.php on line 65

I think it is time to find a new forum.

Lazz,

I had the same problem when I tried to reply to your post. After closing the browser, and reopening it, I was able to reply.

Almost every time I try to access this site I get that message & have to reload the page multiple times to get access. I have tried multiple browsers with the same problem.

I haven't noticed anything lately. But then I haven't been very active here either...

I have not had any problems (well no more than typical with forumup)... only an occasional mysql error here and there over the past month or so. I have noticed that the forum has been a little quiet lately. Originally I just attributed it to the awful weather in the eastern US this winter, but now I wonder if these login/access issues are the cause.

I think it's just a quiet period. Sooner or later activity will return! Smile

I always check on activity since I was last on site at most a day or two earlier. I have been able to access site for the last month or two at least 90% of the time. Maybe a little slow sometimes but usually it will load onto my computer. It does seem like not as many posts lately but I haven't posted either. Tom

I can get on every day. Firefox has it set to search for new postings and it starts rapidly. Occasionally it will say too many connections, but not often.

A few months ago it would not let me in very often, and apparently it was only me, because postings were still regular.

I had similar problems as Laaz by the end of the last year. Very frustrating. But I had only very few error messages this year.

I can recall only 1 such message in the last few weeks, which is better than a few months ago.

Maybe we should all make a conscious effort to click the ad banners - they are likely to pay more attention and provide more bandwidth to the forums that are profitable.
