Thanks Scott, very interesting.
Maybe Italian Pink Fleshed Variegated Lemon is what I have ?
Considering my location, that makes more sense than that I have Variegated pink fleshed Eureka. _________________

Yes, I have both.
The Imperial Variegated Orange is in France called "orange rayée du Brésil", Brazilian striped orange. |

Yes Ivica, that would make sense, there is also a separate entry for the variegated pink fleshed Eureka: http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/acc/display.pl?1434251
Sylvan, I was thinking that at least one or two of you guys in Europe had some of these. What is your opinion on the "variegated Tahiti Lime"? Lime or citron/lemon hybrid?
Quote: | According to David Karp (see Source History): "This accession has been tentatively proposed at the Tintori Nursery as a variegated sport of Tahiti lime or a similar fruit, but the owners also append the notation, 'da classificare', 'needs to be classified.' Both the foliage and the fruit are variegated, but the flesh is straw-colored, and the aroma too seems more indicative of a citron-lemon hybrid." (RR Krueger, 09/02/2010) | |

It looks like you need to be a member at Argumes Passion to view that page.

Sorry.
The conclusion is that it is very different from the regular Tahiti lime but it is of the "lime" type.
For example there are seeds in the variegated lime and they are rare in the Tahiti fruits.
The pictures:
Here the variegated is on the left, already pressed, regular Tahiti fruit on right.
The white balance isn't good. The flesh is white, not green like limes nor yellow like lemons.

Sylvain:
So it seems to be a Lime, just not a Tahiti Lime. Are there any other variegated limes out there?
Grad:
Your Variegated Pink Fleshed Italian Lemon looks really nice! |
