Gina, did you order from Orchard Valley? I think it was Ned Rahn who posted the sight & they sell the good stuff for cheap. I bought a small 1/2 inch roll to experiment with & can always order more later (it'll last me awhile).
Not sure about your stuff that lasts 10 yrs...doesn't sound good for grafting. Stuff I bought will bio-degrade with sunlight over months which is good...let's the buds stretch thru it too. Anyone else with opinions?
Sorry about the failed grafts. I guess that's why they all say to graft in spring or fall huh!

I ordered from Midwest Vineyard.. two rolls of tape + shipping came to $6.34 total!! I think that is pretty decent price.. I ordered a roll of chip budding tape and a roll of the parafin tape.. The lasting 10 yrs is in refrence to with ALL the tape I have I will still have it around in 10 yrs.. LOL
I think I will put the grafts in a different room.. the LARGE window that was close to where I had put the grafts allowed for the heat to rise there.. I have south windows in my dining room that are covered with tenting and don't allow heat to rise as much.. the trees would still be getting filtered light and not "cook" for it..
I have the root stock out side right now.. I put it all back out side for now. I fed all the trees yesterday and it rained last night and a bit today.. so they should be nice and happy by Saturday..
