well, our weather went from winter to smmer with no inbetween it seems now. had a couple warm days, went back to freezing and now we are at the mid 90's. I placed my trees outside,m just for a little bit, but several leaves were sun burned. these same trees, were in direct sun inside, just behind a window. My calamondin is the only tree I have out there full time as its thriving... but my other trees... NOT happy. esspecially my pomegrante.

Just how do you get them used to being outside when the weather goes so crazy. if they dont get sun burned, they wint like mad instantly. With such great weather, I'd LOVE to have tehm out full time, even out night time weather has been warm. I've kept my patio doors open 2 nights now with no issues. (they are in the room off the deck)

I want them to be healthy, they all had new growth which quickly died from the heat, I dont want to cause problems.

HELP

good luxck with that. from all I read... sounds like you could be in for trouble later down the road. soggy soil, not great light... not a good mix for any plant really.

anyways, I want my trees out in the sun, I know the second it started heating up all sorts of new growth. I want my fruit to have that good heat from outside as well. I see how my calamondin is going crazy out there in the sun.. new blooms, fruit is growing much faster and even more new blooms. about 40 blooms all at various stages.. I want my other trees to have the same chance

According tio the instructions with the plant,it says it prefered a heavy soil
but any soil would do.It does get some sun but it is growing fine.Maybe, you
should keep your tree out of the midday sun, perhaps give it early morning
sun and good drainage, should be good.mine is growing really well now as
it heads towards winter now.good luck, cheers

My trees get morning full sun from about 9am until about 2pm. They get shaded by the house the rest of the time. They also seem to be doing fine and are loaded with blossoms and fruit. We are also in the 90's during the day and 60's at night. I have gotten a massive amount of new growth since I placed them outside about a month ago. I don't think its the bright SUN that they like but the general light of outside. As Millet once said, citrus was primarily grown as an understory tree(under other taller trees).
