Started about 3 weeks ago with seeds from storecitrus:
The night propagator:

A very nice leaf already:

Triplets:

Most of my seedlings have 2 or 3 stems from 1 seed. What is the best choice: keep them the way they are or cut away the extra stems ? _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

As they get a little older you can easily separate each seedling from the others and transplant each to a separate pot. _________________ Hershell

Ah that would be super! Does it concern age or height? _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

Allow them to be tough enough that they won't be easily damaged and have adequet roots. _________________ Hershell

Anyone? Just had a slightly cooler day, today as well but it's supposed to get hotter again starting tomorrow so should come in handy if I knew wether or not I should shelter them during the hottest part of the day. _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

Did a bug check just to be sure but can't find anything on the leaves or in the soil. All that seems clean.
A picture from today:

Looks like cyclamen mite damage. Do you have any other plants that could be infested near by. I wouldn't be really worried at the moment. Keep them WET but not in standing water and let they'd slightly dry out between watering and well fertilized. If the problem continues I would spray them with Dawn dish detergent diluted with water. _________________ Hershell

They're not really in any close contact with other plants so that'll probably not form a problem.
Does one need a microscope to check for these bugs ? _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

Yes they are extremely small but I have never had them on. Citrus but on confederate rose. They cause the leaves to be thick and cup shaped and difficult to treat. I am not totally convened that they are your problem. As they grow if is mites it will get worse. _________________ Hershell

My navel orange tree has cupped leafs with wrinkled edges like your seedlings do. It gets the most shade of all my trees and I think the lack of light may have something to do with the deformed leaves.
Best,

Could be a possibility. I grew them inside the first few weeks because it was still to cold outside and after 3 weeks I've put them outside. Perhapps the damage was already done the.
At this moment no more leaves are curling. _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

Just did a search on the mites and they grow to about 0.25mm which should be visible on pictures. _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

I'm actually getting a bit scared at this point. It does seem the growth on my seedlings has almost stopped the last 2 weeks (might be because of to much heat) but I cannot see anything strange living on the leaves and I've used a magnifying glass to check. Should I just sweat it out and hope for the best? _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |
