Colorado Joe is soon to become Missouri Joe, as he has purchased land in Missouri, and will be moving. Colorado Joe, is actually better known as "Citrus Joe", a name I tagged him with years ago. He once was a member of this forum. Under what ever name you call him, Joe is a very nice guy, and we wish him well in his new home. - Millet |

Thanks for the post, Gina. I haven't heard from CitrusJoe in a while, it is good to see that he is well. You, however, seem to have a mishap with your foot. Hope everything is well. Barbara |

So Gina, it's you on the picture!
You look so close after just a coffee that I thought it was his wife... |

I could tell it was Kansas in the picture. It reminds me of my stomping grounds in Overland Park when my wife and I were first married.

Thanks for posting that Gina. After knowing you from the forums, I'd hug you if I met you, or at least put an arm around you for a pic and it wouldn't even take a cup of coffee LOL. Or...oooh... would that make us look married?
After knowing Millet & Joe on a forum for almost 3 years, they both hugged me when we met at '05 expo & then called me their little Sis! They are both really nice guys as are lots of people here.
Maybe when he gets settled in MO, he could take a drive up here & visit us in "God's country".
Is that a plant I see hanging out of that truck? Did something happen to your foot? _________________ Patty

Yes plants hanging out the back.. he was on his way to plant trees on his new property... and if ya look you can see the fencing.. he has to fence in each baby tree as the last bunch of trees he planted were eaten by deer..
This is actually the second time I've met Joe.. after the flood he met me and my youngest daughter in Wichita and gave me some plants to replace what was lost in the flood..
Yes I fractured my heel... the humerus part.. last time I saw Joe my right hand was in a cast.. bet he's thinking I'm getting replaced one part at a time.. LOL
at current standing.. I'll be in the walking cast till April.. but I am going for a second opinion the 5th of Dec..
Patty, I have to agree.. Joe and many others are soo much like family!!! I love my gardening family very much!!!! I can't wait to get to meet more of my long lost family!!!
Dauben, The part of Mo he bought property is close to where your stomping grounds use to be..

Joe is one of the most generous people I know. Through the years he has been nice enough to share many of his plants with me. Almost so much that I can blame the lack of my greenhouse space on him -Just Kidding! I haven't had the opportunity to have coffee in person yet like you Gina but look forward to it sometime. I hope his move goes smoothly. |

For those of us who don't know Joe, how about filling us in on who he is.

Joe is just a Colorado resident (soon to move) that has a citrus hobby much like the rest of us. At one time he was a member of this forum (very early on) but left us for CN. In the past we flew to California togehter to visit UCR's CCPP plus the citrus variety collection, and the both of us also flew to the 2005 Citrus Expo in Charleston, SC. However, I have not heard from Joe in a year or so. He is a nice guy. - Millet |

Does that mean you got married more than once?
Sorry Phillip, I had to . Did you & your wife have the same coffee that Gina made LOL ...at least, a cup of her coffee makes people look married.
Citrus Joe lives north of Millet & they met on GW forum. Here's a pic of us at the '05 citrus expo. Joe & Millet flew there together & shared a nice 2 bdrm suite while there. I stayed a block away.
Me, Millet, Citrus Joe & Laaz (my 2 big brothers & Laaz - my little brother)
Why can't these guys smile for a pic??? _________________ Patty

Wow I haven't see that photo in a while. Joe is a great guy & we still exchange a bunch of plants. He said he is going to try to make it to the Expo here in Charleston next year. Next years Expo will be right across the river from me, about a 15 min drive. Here's a link to where next years Expo will be held. Great place to visit & close to everything in the Charleston area.
