So I'm told that USDA is implementing a full State Quarantine.... Not from ACP mind you.. but from Orange Citrus Scale.. Nothing will move out of the State...
You'll read in the news in a few days... (who knows what they will say)

Is there a treatment for this or is it fatal?

turtleman, thanks for the correction. I was asking myself why on earth would the USDA ever quarantine Arizona just for scale. - Millet (677-)

Sorry for the mis-type, sometimes my brain thinks one thing and my fingers type another..
Mark.. This is one of the main issues we have with the Federal USDA, the scab is only cosmetic and doesn't affect the quality of the fruit.
I currently am the Ag Nursery and Greenhouse committee chairman for the State Farm Bureau, and things like this are what we seem to fight all the time. We have a Federal Appointed person who mandates these kind of things on US growers but they allow tons of unchecked commodities across the borders, much of the time transporting new strains of virus and or pest.
American Agriculture is being regulated out of business

Sorry to hear that about your frustrations turtleman. So, trees can be treated with copper or fungicide sprays and clear this up?

They haven't lifted Florida's quarantine, have they? There's someone on eBay selling orange trees..
