Hi,

There is a cold hardy Grapefuit seedling being offered on eBay. I'm curious if this is actually a grapefruit or just another highly acidic citrus hybrid. The item is listed as "Cold Hardy Chinese Grapefruit Tree Seedling" offered by focus_farms in the Home&Garden category. Does anyone have any opinions?

Nicky, I would contact Stan McKenzie for cold hardy citrus, citrusman99@hotmail.com. Here is his web site as well: http://mckenzie-farms.com/index.htm He has done a phenomenal job of developing excellent cold tolerant citrus. He has the Bloomsweet grapefruit, and may also have other varieties as well. The Bloomsweet is a fantastic grapefruit, very sweet and very cold hardy. I do not recognize this person on Ebay, so can't say whether or not this is going to be something edible or not. I see trifoliate leaves. That does not bode well for a citrus you can eat out of hand.
