I am not sure, but i think i am the first dutch in this forum. So, please forgive my english....
I tried to plant citri from seeds out of fruit in the supermarket. Here's my proud...Altough it will take a while before the first fruits will come....(if they come!) If you look close you see a smal grapefruit plant in the same pot....It is doing nothing for over a month, but is still green? what am i doing wrong?

Hello flapmeister and welcome to the forum. There is nothing wrong with your tree. Citrus grow in flushes, first the roots will put out growth & then the top will put out growth. The tree looks nice & healthy.

Hi Flapmeister, and welcome to the Citrus Growers Forum, we are glad you have become a member. Most citrus trees will put on new foliage groth, called a flush, three times a year. Likewise, it is also normal for the roots to produce their growth three times a year. When the foliage is putting on new growth, the root are not, and while the root are putting on new growth their is no new leaf growth. Therefore it can be three or four months inbetween the growth of any new foliage, and during these non growth periods the tree seems to be standing still. However, know that growth is still going on, in the root system. Again welcome to the forum. - Millet
