I only retained two of the thirteen Papaya trees that I grew last year, so these are now two years old. They have just started to fruit again this spring. One tree is now 7 feet tall and the other must be 10 feet in height. I'll have to use a ladder to pick the fruit this summer. They already have many blooms, and one new fruit about as big as my thumb. I also planted three new Papaya varieties, a Red Glory from Vietnam, a Tainunghi Papaya from Taiwan and a Gold Maradol from Mexico. - Millet

Congrats on your trees!

I was inspired to grow papaya trees when I went to visit my parents. They grew a papaya tree from seed and it had lots of green papayas on it. I love payapa so when I came home I planted several seeds from the papaya, but most of the seedlings wilted and died Sad I still have some alive, but they dont look too healthy. Not sure why they didnt make it though. Oh well, Im too impatient to grow from seed anyway!
