Hi everyone! It's been a while- our 1 & 2 year olds have kept me busy! My dwarf navel is beautiful, green and flushing. I was so excited to have about 30 large marble size fruits growing. I expected to lose some, but, with our last heat wave, I've lost them all. We're in coastal California so our heat high was 90 at the hottest, for only 1 day. My watering and fertilizing practices are good- letting it go moist-dry moist before deep watering and fertilizing... There's a new flush of growth and blossoms so I'm grateful for my second chance. I don't want to blow it! This will be our first year for fruit on this one. Thank you!!!

I have had the best results with not letting the containers dry out in the summer time, especially while holding fruit. Last year I lost a lot of fruit while allowing the soil to dry in between watering. This year I have kept them mosit for the most part, alge in growing in some cases! However, the fruit load this year is drastically better. We have had temperatures in the 100's for several weeks straight, no fruit drop.
