Has anyone had any experience with growing Strawberry, Watermelon, Cantelope and Honeydew Melon from seed?

Actually, I have already planted the watermelon and cantelope seeds and I have already had to transplant them (while still in the peat pellets)because their roots had exploded with growth.

I was wondering how true they would grow. I know that the strawberry seeds need to be chilled before planting. I figured I would stick them in the fridge for a month. The melons just clean and plant immediately. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Disney girl it all depends on 2 things

if store bought fruit .. 50/50 chance
if from seeds did they say hybrid and are these seeds from last yrs water mellon ?

i had bad luck with my brandywine tomatoes but great luck with my roma this yr i bought old stock Brandy wine and my romas come up on there own ..kinda the same with watermellon and other seeds if ou get the old stock (NOT Hybrid) you will do fine if you get hybrid my experience is they dont produce the same things ...Tammy

Ps how many strawberry plants can i send you ? i made a 7 way cross with mine and now get 5 inch berrys with lots of sweet taste and good fruit..

O.K. Now we have to talk. 7 way cross. I want to learn how you did this.

5 inch, sweet strawberries. I'm salavating right now just thinking about it. Downfall, I am allergic to them, but can never stop eating them, especially when they are big and sweet.

Does the same plant keep producing fruit or do you have to grow new ones?

I would LOVE some plants. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
I'll talk to you via PM.

Thanks
