Communities remain on flood alert in central Queensland around Emerald.

Premier Anna Bligh and Agforce president Peter Kenny are reviewing the situation from the air today.

The main concerns relate to missing and stranded cattle, and Agforce is organising fodder drops.

In the Emerald area, around 80,000 newly-planted citrus trees have been flooded, in another blow after all citrus trees in the area were destroyed by a canker outbreak.

Mining operations have all but ceased in central Queensland due to flooding and there are now concerns the floodwaters are heading towards Rockhampton, down the Fitzroy River.
