I would like to see a photo of the trees from Plant Ranch. I know of several people who ordered from them & got Swingle & Poncirus seedlings. I believe Gina was one of the people... Each time they claimed it was a mistake. |

Like I thought, unless you wanted rootstock he ripped you off... That is Poncirus or a hybrid of it. If you purchased it through ebay I would file a complaint.
That is NOT Navel orange or Mandarin. |

Yes Laaz is right it was me that ordered from Daren and got Tri plants also.. Daren did refund my $$ and shockingly he sent me a tiny (about 4"tall seedling) calimondon just before Christmas (it made a cute Christmas Present for my mom the bow was almost as big as the tree.. ) For my "trouble".. wonder if he was angling for repeat business? I didn't keep it as I had already gotten a MUCH superior Cal tree from a friend..
Anyway.. Just ask him for your $$ back.. I got the amount minus the "shipping" cost..
He told me to dispose of the trees as I saw fit.. so I butchered them learning how to graft.. well all but 3.. I gave 2 to a friend.. and am planning on planting the other in the back yard this spring..
I think they are supposedly zone hardy to zone 5.. If they are same variety as what I got I figured them to be 'Swingle' citrumelo...
I am very glad I did the grafting.. I learned lots.. Kids did too.. and well frankly anyone that walks in my front door gets a tour of the trees and a quick "how I created my own tree" speel .. LOL

Westwood, I do not think it is even a citrange. I believe it is nothing more then a Poncirus trifoliate. It is hard to believe that this guy rips people off over and over and seemly gets away with it. - Millet |

OK got ahold of Daren today and Of course he was pleasant as always ..
Ive called him several times with questions and Help advice ..
Daren Orders these trees or seedlings from another company so he is actually out money as well i sent him links to the sites about.. these trees this is one ... http://www.cnr.vt.edu/dendro/dendrology/syllabus/ptrifoliata.htm.. I told him i would use them to graft onto make a 3-5 way citruc salad tree .. and i was upset but i wasnt going to nag him if he takes the ebay listing and changes it or removes it .. SO lets see what he does i have 30 days to make a complaint with paypal and see what he does ..
If not i have Opera witch allows me to have my own web page for free as well aspop mail and everything else at 1 window ..ill just make a site and explain why i wont buy from him again due to his misfortune and selling trees that are as he is listing them ..Of course i would be happy to have alot of help on my wording with the site if it gets to that ...Tammy _________________ If it breaths and loves life Im a Friend..

He has had an excuse for everyone who has questioned him.He has been selling the same rootstock plants as Orange & Limes for a very long time. He knows what they are, don't let him fool you. |

this is what i sent to paypal ...
Planet ranch is faulsly selling orange trees that are not orange trees ...
selling (Orange trees ) that are not Orange trees and in fact they arnt even sweet as he discribes.. they are sour and Hairy..
http://www.cnr.vt.edu/dendro/dendrology/syllabus/ptrifoliata.htm.
this is what he is selling Notice the triple leaves ?
citrus has a single leaf as in his Ebay listing 4412312317...
I know from 2 experiances that pay pal really cant help with this but maybe you guys can stop him from frauding others .. Its either this or i go to a attorney and get him to either change his ebay ad or delete it as it is not a tree with sweet oranges but a Root stock tree ..thank you Tammy Norton _________________ If it breaths and loves life Im a Friend..
