Looks like a bad year for them. I saw some yesterday. Usually they don't appear before July 4. |

Glad to report that cold Colorado has NO citrus diseasesof any kind, or any of the common citrus insects/bugs, except scale and mealy. However one thing Colorado does have is HIGH greenhouse heating bills. - Millet |

I thought, and hoped, we would have a light season. But, they are here in force, as bad as last year. And for the first time, I am having a real problem with mealy bugs. At least no aphids yet, but I am sure they will be here soon. |

Great, I must be the lucky one this year.
I just fought a battle with Mealies on my Kona Coffee and a Major Battle with Scale on my Key Lime. I hope I got all the little buggers.
Though, no leaf minors yet. I have actually had one Orange Dog already. I figured it was a forward point scout!

I just ordered some Admire SC for the miners from of all places, ebay. It is 11% active ingredient vs 0.5% for the locally available Fertilome bagworm, leaf minor stuff. On an active ingrediant basis, 6 times cheaper. However, I had to buy a quart for $125 vs $15 for a pint of the dilluted stuff. Volume users only! The active ingredient is spinosad. It also doesn't require a pesticide applicators license(which I have.) |
