as you all know i have been really lucky to be here on this list since you have all Taught me so much by just reading your wisdom that Mark agreed i can get 5 more trees .
But im thinking he also said 100.00 So i looked up tree liners and im not sure what would be the best root stock for Zone 9 and whats the best for lemons and oranges and maybe some Tangerines or ?
Im also making him go with the 100.00 for my next buy and drop the 5 trees cause he sees the trees are Expensive and his limit of 100 is not fair LOL im cheating i can get liners 25 for 75 bucks plus shipping total 99.99 Grins
and i think with liners i can actually do better by getting them young in my home and garage that we keep heated to about 60 in the winter and letting them get used to the zone am i wrong on this Please help. Tammy _________________ If it breaths and loves life Im a Friend..

turtleman you are a grower & in a citrus region. Once you're out of the citrus region the prices go up quickly. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Westwood if your source for purchasing 25 liners for $75.00, or 3 dollars a piece, is from Tree Source in Exeiter, CA. I can tell you they are only worth $3.00. Citrus Joe, and I have purchased liners from them ONCE. Never again. Tree Source, sells these Liners at the end of their selling season. These are the left overs not taken by commercial growers. The ones Citrus Joe and I received were certainly left over quality. - Millet 7-20 |

I seen that last night looking for bananas and about laughed till i had to pee.
Im not joking .
You know what is sad to me . I got shot in the head in 1997 and i wont even take the pain pills they gave me in fear id get addicted and act like the idiots on drugs,
growing a garden and citrus and banana's has been so much joy i can go out and talk to my trees and sing and then tell them how pretty they are .
I know sounds mental but they really do seem to do better my neighbor has some that she just waters fertilizes and walks away they are the same age as mine and i bought them for her and they are doing horrible.
Wild bunnies in the back yard today worried they might nip at my trees Doggy time. _________________ If it breaths and loves life Im a Friend..

4" square and 14.5" tall pot, is what we use as "Liners"
the Stuewe Tall Pot link TP414;
http://www.stuewe.com/products/treepots.php
To check shipping my new site (still under construction) can give cost of postage,,,
Please surf around that site and let me know what you think of it so far?
http://67.227.195.100/~rsigrowh/
Most of what I have is not even listed there yet because I only have 37 hours of work in one days time,, and only 8 days per week
This season we grafted 10,000 citrus and planted another 10k for next season (small by some growers) I still have the stone fruits to do... |
