The lottery is for those not good in math!
A friend who plays the lottery scoffed when I suggested he pick the last number that won for the next lottery. He, said "Even I know that is not right!" Ha, every number has an equal chance of winning no matter what won the last time so the last winning number is as good a guess as any. Couldn't believe he didn't understand statistics as he is an engineer who should know better. Then again he was blowing money on the lottery so I know his judgement was impaired.
I'll let others pay extra taxes(lottery tickets) voluntarily. |

For most people , winning a huge lottery amount is a complete disaster. It destroys your current lifestyle and usually results in work, family and relationships breaking down.
Winning a few thousand is good and is likely to improve your 'happiness rating'. Winning a few million often has the opposite effect. |
