My mom, decided to start leafing out, middle of winter and all, before I had a chance to prune it. I think it was Millet that suggested I do so. Questions are... with new growth, should I still prune or wait till it goes dormant again... and leafing out so much earlier than spring time... wont cause any harm or mess with fruit chances this next year, will it?
I went away and was shocked when I came home and it was 1/4 leafed out again. new shoots growing up from the ground as well, been picking those off, tried to root a couple, no luck. In the past month, its put out at least 5 inches of new growth all around the top of the branches. Could it be I just have my room in the right conditions to keep it green year round? (it was outside in cooler temps which I think made the leaves drop) I know some can keep them green year round.
Any suggestions would be great. I think teh variety has been determinwed to be wonderful. It looks identical to a friends tree, shape, form, leaves, everything.
thanks
