Seem like our turn this time, the darkest color over my area Shocked
Last 9 months, source: Global Drought Monitor



That brings hard time to mosquito.
Something unbelievable happened 5 or so years ago (also drought year) when I was near river in a woody area the whole night:
I saw no mosquito, even searching for, not even one. Event happened never before, and more, bloodsuckers were absent all summer.
Last year was similar but not so extreme, I got a few bites.
