I am searching for a source of propagation slips for the pineapple variety Pernambuco. My guess is that in the USA Pernambuco pineapples are only grown in South Florida. If any member knows of a source, please advise. Thanks. - Millet (794-)

Locating a slip of Pernambuco pineapple is much harder than I figured. As I have had no luck locating a slip with this forum, I have sent inquires to the Florida Rare Fruit Council, Fairchild Gardens (Miami), and the Dade County Extension horticulturist. Someone, somewhere surely must still be growing Pernambuco pineapples. - Millet (778-)
