I plead with anyone here who have access to bare-rooted Peach Guardian Rootstock, or any cheap bare-rooted peach tree that are on Peach Guardian Rootstock. These are available in Tennessee and Texas, as well as other eastern states. Been trying to get one since five years ago. I'll refund the cost and shipping or do exchange. PM me if you are willing, please, please, please!!!

Thanks for reading this desperate plea for help.

Hi Joe. I did a search & can not find any here. Problem is most peach trees here do name the rootstock on the tags. You may want to try the contact info here :

Thomas G. Beckman is at the USDA-ARS Southeast Fruit and Tree Nut Research Laboratory, 21 Dunbar Rd., Byron, GA 31008; phone (912) 956-6436, fax (912) 956-2929, e-mail a03tbeckman@attmail.com

Thanks Laaz. I tried contacting people there in the USDA-ARS and they played me phone-tag. Ended up with someone who told me to call someone and that someone told me to call someone else... I also have the emails that ended nowhere. So no wonder I've been frustrated on this.

I've had a wonderful peach tree that succumed to PTSL. If it happened in my yard, chances are, it will happen to other of my trees. I wanted long lived peaches, nectarines and apricots, not dying after 5 productive years. So am planning to switch over to these rootstocks, or do an inarch with these rootstocks to my existing trees.

I will have a look at the local nurseries & see if I can find anything tagged with this rootstock.

Joe, I looked at a PA nursery webpage for you that supplies the Amish in this area, to see if they indicated rootstock. I did not find that info, but did come across a message that you will find disappointing. It indicates that no stone fruit trees are allowed to be shipped to CA. Here is the link, I hope that the information is old, but it seems to be a CA restriction.

www.acnursery.com/acn_peach.php

I hope you find what you need, or can at least use this information to ask the right questions. Best regards, Barbara

I know this is a old post but has anyone found a source for guardian peach rootstock? If I could just buy a tree that is on guardian i could mound dirt around the suckers and propagate them that way. Guardian is said to sucker alot.
