I threw two batches of lime seeds in pots to see if I could get some decent seedlings. Kaffir and Key lime. Despite being dry, both batches germinated at 70%. The last Kaffir seedling to pop up has a stem that is twice as thick at the other seedlings and at the top of the stem, two distinct heads are developing at a sort of forked top.

The stem in a light green and the heads are both dark green. I tried to take a picture last night, but they didn't turn out well. What the heck is going on with this seedling? I can draw a cheesy paint file to better show this if needed.

It died, but it was definitely one of the seedlings. The top forked like a menorah and two plants were forming. I would have kept better care of it, but I didn't think it was that big a deal. Maybe it was?

They grow easily from seed, don't you have access to some Key lime fruits?
