Hi,

This fantastic tree has just joined my collection today Very Happy
It came from France and it is bigger than I expected.

The bottom leaves are not variegated, the variegation is mostly at the tip leaves.

I wonder if the fruits will have variegated skin or not?
I remember that Laaz uploaded a photo of his variegated satsuma with a normal fruit but I saw a photo on net showing a variegated fruit;

I guess the fruits start with variegation but lost it when they ripe, right?

The fruits are variegated as well. When they start to ripen they will turn almost all orange, but you will still see a few very light stripes.

Mehmet, your tree's variegation is outstanding in its coloration. Wonderful tree. - Millet

Laaz, I was planning to start a very small, online business, offering variegated or rare fruit for gourmets Very Happy
If satsumas will lose most of the variegation, they will not be very interesting.
Have you tried to eat some when variegation is still visible, how do they taste?
Btw, you are the one whom I got the variegated citrus bug, thanks Smile

Millet, thank you very much, it is really very beautiful.I was hoping all leaves are variegated but only tip leaves.

Best,

Mehmet your tree looks very good.

My variegated Satsuma has fruited for several years in a container. To my surprise, it has been one of the best tasting Satsumas I have. Additionally, it holds on the tree much longer than any of the others I have without becoming puffy or losing flavor. The fruit starts out lightly stripped, but gradually turns yellow.

Mehmet I have not tried them while still highly striped. I will try one this year before it turns yellow.
