Hi Group,
I'm new to the group so first off, I live and grow about 10-12 types of cold hardy citrus in coastal South Carolina. I started growing about 3 years ago with one satsuma and..............we, we all know how it snowballs from there. I guess I need to move further away from Stan McKenzie!
My problem is I have a tree with what I suspect is alternaria brown spot. At least it looks like the images I found on the internet. The tree in question is a Yuzu on FD rootstock. I have had the tree for 2 years and haven't had a problem with it until a month or two ago. It starts with small yellow spots which quickly grow and then turn brown in the center. Soon the entire leaf turns brown and falls off. I have sprayed with Daconil fungicide, but this doesn't seem to be helping. I have checked the spots with a hand magnifier and noticed small spherical fungal spores (I think thats what they are). Anyone have any ideas. Should I get rid of the tree or is there a cure or treatment.
BTW, I'm going to try and post a picture, hope it works.
Thanks
Bud
