London (Nov. 21) -- Computer hackers have broken into a server at a well-respected climate change research center in Britain* and posted hundreds of their private e-mails and documents online — stoking debate over whether some scientists have overstated the case for man-made climate change.
The University of East Anglia, in eastern England, said in a statement Saturday that the hackers had entered the server and stolen data at its Climatic Research Unit, a leading global research center on climate change. The university said police are investigating the theft of the information, but could not confirm if all the materials posted online are genuine.
In one lof the leaked e-mails, the research center's director, Phil Jones, writes to colleagues about graphs showing climate statistics over the last millennium. He alludes to a technique used by a fellow scientist to "hide the decline" in recent global temperatures. Some evidence appears to show a halt in a rise of global temperatures from about 1960.........

Perhaps interesting blog reaction of Dr. Masters to The CRU hack etc.:
"The Manufactured Doubt industry and the hacked email controversy"

Jeff Masters must be as nutty as a fruit cake, when he says........"There is no sign of a conspiracy to alter data to fit a pre-conceived ideological view........" OH PLEASE SPARE ME !!!!!

Jeff Masters must be blind. Phil Jones is the British Climate Research Center's VERY TOP MAN, he is the Center's DIRECTOR, and he instructed his colleagues to "hide the decline" (his own words).

After reading Jeff Masters's article, (what a stretch to equate tobacco with "man made" global warming), I think he only makes it worse. In fact, Mr. Master's article, with its long lead up, followed by its longer tortured build up, and his desperate attempt to connect it to the tobacco industry, is in it self a text book example of Manufacturing Doubt, trying his best to soften the "Research" director's fraud based "science". By the way, will someone please tell Mr. Masters that the enviro's no longer call it Global Warming, they have converted it to Climate Change (certainly can't lose with that phrase, as climate changes daily.) - Millet (1,148-)

Never mind that global temperatures have actually been declining. I am all for keeping money out of the pockets of the entire middle east, but stop with this doom and gloom about global warming.

Media is heating up, just before Climate Conference in Copenhagen 6. - 18. December 2009.
Lets read the last Climate Science Report which can be dowloaded from http://www.copenhagendiagnosis.org/
"... the report serves as a handbook of science updates that supplements the IPCC AR4 in time for Copenhagen in December 2009, and any national or international climate change policy negotiations that follow."

China will reject any type of pollution restraints against its economy. However, China will seek binding pollution targets for developing countries like the United States and many of Europe's developed nations. Yu Qingtai, China's top climate envoy, said it is unfair that all countries (China, India, Brazil & all poor nations) be required to play a role in combating global warming since most of the environmental damage was caused by developed nations during their industrialization over the past 100 to 200 years. Currently China is the world's largest emitter of greenhouses gases.

Phil Jones, the director for the British climate "research" center at The University of East Anglia, who was caught providing fake information to promote his global warming agenda has been terminated from his position as head to the center. Maybe Mr. Jones should apply for the top position at this months Copenhagen summit. - Millet (1.141-)

Interesting, I did not know that.

It was for the most part the same speech and strategy (excluding the exit date) he talked about last spring but for some reason it took 90 days this fall to come up with it again.....

Here in Colorado we must already be on our 4 or 5 snow storm this season, with another one coming in tomorrow night, and still another next Wednesday. Last night the low was 2F and tonight is expected to be around 12F. In our area snow is called "poor man's fertilizer". - Millet (1,139-)

The Whole World is coming to Copenhagen to discuss Global Warming, including Mr and Mrs Obama, Mr Schwarzenegger, Mr Gore and so many other of the brightest people of this earth. They probably each fly in their own private Jet Wink.
I must be the last guy here in Denmark rooting and hoping for the Global Warming to be real, and continuing just a bit more, so my citrusgarden can position itself firmly in the USDA 9a zone in which it has been for the last few years. (Sorry for mentioning citrus in this off topic thread Wink.)
