This is regarding bark grafting on citrus (other fruit trees as well).

When you are doing MANY bark grafts on multiple branches (say, 5-7 bark grafts on the tree):

Do you prepare ALL the budwoods (cutting, shaving the sides to expose cambium, etc. etc.) all at once? This means putting ALL the prepared bud sticks in a glass of water, then go to your target site and perform the insertions.

Or do you do it one by one at the site? Prepare the budwood, cut the host branch and insert. Then repeat again, each one by one.

I would like to learn your technique or follow your successful method.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You could do that-- I typically cut them one at a time and insert them as soon as they are cut.
