Some time back I read on another forum that Jene's Tropicals in FL. was out of business. I've ordered from them off and on for several years. This morning I went on line....looking for their web page and couldn't find it. I went through some old invoices and found their number and called them. They are still in business but they are having problems with their web page. Goes to show that it pays to double check. I've never ordered citrus from them and don't recall if they even stock citrus but they do have a lot of other cool tropical plants. |

That was me that posted about Jene's on the OLD forum. I got no response from them & their website never came up, but they fixed it. They do (did) sell good plants except for my last order of 2 plants last April where the grafts were bad. They FINALLY emailed me & promised to refund me for the 2 trees (of 3). Insted, I got another charge of $60.00 recently & I called. They are to fix THAT also. I did get good plants in the past but their bookeeping needs a lot of work. They are famous for not answering email. Am still waiting for my "credits" to show up. They said the girl that worked there at the time & picked those 2 trees for me got fired, & that they never shoulda been shipped. So, no, they aren't out of business...doing a new website (for many months now). |

Hi there! Yes, I saw your comment/review about them on the Watchdog, even before I phoned them. We'll know in a week if they've cleaned up their act. |

Well I guess they changed their ways... I asked Joe to send me a few Miracle fruit so I could germinate them. I get home from work tonight & have a 2 Ft Miracle fruit tree from Jene's sitting on my front step courtesy of Joe. All I can say is your too much Joe. Thanks a lot buddy.

Enjoy! Looks to be a decent plant (w/some water spots) it should produce fruit this year. More "Christmas from Colorado" is on it's way and should be there by Thursday. Just a way of saying "Thanks" for your southern hospitality during the visit. It's 0 as I write this (Tueday night), 20 mph winds and snowing. Supposed to be -10 by dawn. Doesn't seem like country where you can pick fresh citrus and tropical fruits....but it can be done as long as the propane and check book hold out. Cheers! |

Laaz, I also got a Christmas present from JoenColo. I received a Red Finger Lime. Red Finger Limes are a very hard plant to locate. Thanks a milllion Joe. As I write this it is now -2F in Colorado. Joe and I live about 50 miles apart, but in Colorado that's just neighbors. - Millet |

Hi Tam. There are quite a few color varieties in the finger limes but they all have the same turpentine taste.
Great for ornamentals though
Blood Limes... I think it would be easier to rob Fort Knox. |

That's a nice plant there Laaz. My eyes went to the countertop looking for an opened bottle of Corona! |

I did not know this. Hmmmm... yes the taste is bitter but is great for certain foods. They are in big demand with chefs. |

Thanks, that's great. I don't know what kind I have. Its a seedling. I still would like to know where I can get grafted well established trees. |
