I have small area I would like to plant a tree in. It's about two or three feet from my house. Would a Pomegranite tree pose any threats to the house or foundation?

Poms are a bush not a tree so it's easy to keep trimmed, the issue is what type of Pom? some grow to 16/18 foot others only 10/12. I have a number of Poms here at the nursery that were growing on a grape trellis, wide but narrow growth pattern.

Just a Wonderful, so are the roots a potential hazard?

I have a Wonderful pomegranate that is now about 5 years old. It has grown to 12 feet tall and 12 feet wide. Currently, (without counting) it must have 40 to 50 pomegranates on it. I can't tell you about the roots, but I offer this advice, to give you an idea about the size of the tree. I have never pruned it. - Millet (868-)

My PG tree was about 20 years old and I pushed it up with a 40 HP tractor. there was no roots larger than the limbs, so I would say it would not hurt a foundation the question is would it have enough room to grow as they are spreading. Dr. Hanna says they need good air circulation around them. He is trying to develop a seedless one.

Maybe it's not a great choice. I want to squeeze a fruit tree there. Any suggestion? If not a Pom, I would like a Citrus tree.
