With all the different weather sites now, at what temperature do you all decide to remove all your citrus from your trees?
I can pull up a handful of weather sites and they can be 2-4 deg different from each other. It makes it kind of hard to decide risking it or picking it. Also what adjustment do you make for the length of time below freezing.
Such as 26 deg for 2 hours is OK, and 27 deg for 8 hours is picking time.
Right now most sites call for a low this weekend from 26 to 28 deg. for most of the night. I'm in zip 77457.

I believe the magic number is supposed to be twenty seven. If it sinks to 27 or less and stays there for more than a couple of hours there's a strong chance of freeze damage to unprotected fruit.
I do both--Pick as much as I think I can use before it goes bad and leave the rest--so far it appears my protection has kept the fruit from freezing--we had a low of 21 yesterday according to the airport weather station. I did have one tree that lost it's cover--I hope that at least the grafts survive there--I am sure I will loose some limbs, but I had 3 producing grafts on that tree.

We have had a couple of nights as low as 24 degrees F. The satsuma skin is soft however the flesh is still quite good. All the fruit was removed yesterday and today. The trees will be covered with frost cloths tomorrrow morning. Hope for the best.
