Hi
So I have picked several of my satsumas that were green and not ripe. They were very dry with little taste. The skin didnt peal very easily...The fruits seemed to be the correct size
So my question is: was the dryness and lack of taste due to the premature picking or maybe underwatering ?

It is the second crop, it is the one I have planted outside in my area. Last year I got 1 fruit that was orange but dry, that was in march though.
I was hoping to pick the fruit before it got too cold.

Depending of the variety they may not be ready until November. My Owari is ready by mid Nov. LA Early & Early St. Ann should be ready in about a month.
