I looked in my refrigerator and found four kinds of citrus seeds.
The seeds are from:
1 Satsuma from the Centennial Heritage Museum
2 Meiwa Kumquat from a friend's backyard
3 Honey (Murcott) Mandarin from my backyard
4 Mandarinquat from Frieda's Produce.
They have been on moist paper towel in baggies in the
refrigerator since March or so. I used some of them for
germination experiments and these are leftovers.
I have at least ten of each kind. I expect that you could
get some to germinate even after all this time.
You do know that it takes several years to get fruit
from citrus seedlings grown in a warm climate. Maybe
never, if you have to keep it in a pot, indoors, during
the winter. And I suspect that some of these varieties
do not come true from seed, meaning, that the fruit
might not be as good as the real thing bought
at your local grocery store.
Do you want them? If so, I can post them to you on Monday.
I think the postage will be less than $2.
