UCR just added the Castello Lime to their early release budwood form. I am not familiar with this lime type at all. I just sent them an email and am waiting on a response. Does anyone here know about this lime variety?

Had no time to look them up yet, please info as soon as you do. Haven't gotten to them for grafting.

Have just grafted 8 out 42 new UCR budwoods in my yard trees. The longest time is deciding which branch to sacrifice for grafting or budding as each branch is currently loaded with first time fruits of last year's grafts. Darn! No more space to plant trees.

I have grafted almost all of them on my friend's citruses all over California, but in my yard, only 8 for now.

I'll share what info I can come up from the new lemons and limes from UCR.

I missed that lime when I ordered my budwood as I had the old form. I have a bit more room for some container citrus on an unused side of the house, but the wife has me on citrus lockdown. So the only new trees I get will be the varieties I graft onto my existing trees.

I just checked on my first T graft progress and I got all but 2 (Both Shasta Gold because the budwood is skinny and all friggin angles) to take on my dwarf citrus. Sudachi onto Yuzu, Marrekech Limetta to Mexican Lime, etc etc etc.

Had slightly less luck with the mature tree. Redoing this time with a fresh branch cut. Thanks for your comments.

Now, back to a conference call from hell...
