I want to post one more picture ensure that I have this newly acquired skill down pat. This is a picture of an tough old Thomasville that is located at the Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens (you can find their website with a search). It is believed to have been planted in the 50's. It survived a low of 3 degrees f. recorded at the BF&CG in January, 1985. If I had to choose a favorite citrus tree, this is it.

The Southeastern Palm Association http://www.speps.net/ has a collection of palms and citrus trees planted on site. If you are traveling down I-95 and have a couple of hours to spare, it is well worth your time to stop in. They have a map of how to get there at their website.

The SEPS spring meeting is in Arpil at the BF&CG, if you would like to come then. The meetings are open, and there is plenty of time to see the garden.

Ned, due to your kindness last year, when you sent me some Thomasville Citrangequat seeds, I now have 8 Thomasville seedling trees, some of which have grown to be three feet high in one year. They are certainly very precocious in their growth. I'll have to name one Nedsville Citrangequat. BTW I received some more of your Flying Dragon seeds. This time from you through JoenColo. Thanks. - Millet

Millet, Those are decendants of the BF&CG tree. Sounds like they are getting lots of TLC. I have heard they would start fruiting in 4-5 years though I haven't grown a seedling to maturity yet. I normally bud the seedlings with mature wood (wood orginally from the BF&RC tree).

Ned are my Thomasville seedlings directly from the BF&CG tree, or did the seeds come from one of your trees that was started from the BF&CG tree? (second generation)- Millet
