Bonnie, was this a commercial grower? If so how can he sell his produce? To wash off that many rust mites would be difficult. - Millet

He is just getting started, has only a few with the rust mites. I pulled one and placed it in a zip lok bag for show and tell. I imagine he will have several hundred pounds to sell this year. He is also getting into growing strawberries hydroponticaly. He will really have a nice operation. Last season he had great blackberries. The strawberries are in plastic pots, 5 pots to the pole. Loooks like he really has a nice growing mixture. Any one in the Golden area should go out and look at the operation. I think in time he will grow a limited number of citrus on Flying dragon understock..

Bonnie,

what you are telling about your friend sounds very interesting! Does he allow people to pick fruits? Can you, please, pm his info if that would be ok with him?

Thank you very much for sharing!
