Strange year, I have had no leafminers at all so far this year. We had a very unusual winter that started in early Dec last year and lasted through Feb. Maybe enough to kill off all the leafminers, only time will tell. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Maybe the drought killed the leafminers? |

I have had a few. That is normally an indication they will build up on the next flush. |

I think I know where the CLM are at......my back yard. 2 out of 3 trees are loaded. The two that are loaded are Tanglo Minneola's that are one and two years old. My third tree is a Sunburst Tangerine that is several months old and so far none on the newest tree. I have been reading what I can find on the web and the most I got out of all of it is leave it alone and do not use a broad base insecticide.
Any suggestions.
If it will help I can post pictures of the tree's |

OK I have read that I need to go get some Spinosad & Volk Oil and get busy. Just hope I can slow this down and keep it from the new tree. |

They are here in my yard! I have started seeing them in the last couple weeks--the afternoon rains keep washing away my oil spray. _________________ Skeet

I now have seen a few on my trees. Will the systemic insecticide kill these or is oil necessary? _________________ Charles in Pensacola

When I read these type of post, I'm glad my trees are in Colorado. Besides a little scale and a few aphids, Colorado has no insects of any kind that bother citrus. We also have none of the citrus diseases, viruses or funguses. -Millet (478-). |

Darkman,
I'm not sure whether insecticide will kill them. To PREVENT, your best option (imho) would be Spinosad. It may be still too hot for oils...
Good luck! |

It was 90 and humid today while I was planting my fall garden. Very miserable. I easily drank a gallon of water and was soaking wet before 0900. _________________ Charles in Pensacola
