Repotted 2 plants today into a new type of soil with the addition of some perlite.

C. sinensis (bought may 2010)

C. calamondin (bought may 2011)

Nice trees Sven_limoen. I got away from using clay pots because they dried out way too fast over here with our hot summers but citrus do look very pretty when potted that way. I noticed that it seems like a lot of European citrus have very thick trunks. Maybe they root large diameter branches or use thick rootstocks?

I use those containers for the quick drying. During winter times they drain better then plastic containers which is a positive thing. The soil wasn't waterlogged at all which also is positive.
I've noticed the trunks being kinda thick too but I do not see a problem in that.
