Superb plants you have!

Joe:
Look how big the fruits of your calamondin compared to the fruits of my Page Mandarin.
Awesome. Huh!

Do you guys know that behind the Page tree is a 4 1/2 foot guava tree that is ready to bud and blossom? It is not shown in the picture though.

Benny, awesome calamondin! It's sister calamondin the one that I retained have some branches broken due to overloaded fruits combined with rain and strong winds.

Either the Page mandarins are truly tiny or the Calamondins are giant sizes for their own class. But Your page mandarins seemed to be normal size, so the Calamondins must be really big, the only logical conclusion.

I'm praying for the rains to stop until we get into November.

Joe:
Go to Citrus Recipe and look for Jean's Calamondin malmalade recipe. Your fruits will be wiped out if you make some. Just save some for me. Heh-heh.
I am saving your 3 bottles of citrus wine for a special occation BTW.

Benny,

Here's a pic of my "flower" buds. Variegated pink lemon grafted unto a potted Lisbon branch. After forcing the successful take, flowers emerged instead of stem sprouts! What you sow is what you reap, literally on this one.

Beautiful! And looks like an angel coming out of nowhere.
By the way, how many days before you remove the tape around your T-bud. I graft some of mine on the 3rd last month and the buds are green still. Can I remove the tapes now? Because it seems like the water could get in inside the tapes and am afraid they may rot.

Remove those tapes after we have warmed up considerably, perhaps in 3 weeks time, then force them out.

Another news Joe:
Remember I asked you where can you graft an apricot about a month ago?
Well I graft a few on my plum as you suggested and now they have 3 leaves now. They are taking off like crazy. Amazing. And to think that I graft them at the end of small twigs a little bigger than 1/8 inch trunk.

It is going to have different kinds of leaves on that branch. Hopefully different colored fruits next year.
