When I went home at lunch today, a large oak limb had come down and hit one of my Ponkan trees. It ripped a good size limb (about an inch or less in diameter) down, but did not break it completely off. I pulled it back up, wrapped it with duct tape and used some rope to hold it up. I think it is what might be called a green stick type of fracture. I had a similar thing happen a couple of years ago to one of my Page trees, and fixed it the same way. It healed nicely and is doing fine.
The question is, should I do anything more? The limb is loaded with young fruit, as was the Page. I left all the fruit on the Page and they matured fine.
